A Saturday evening shooting at Burke Avenue and Wickham Avenue in the Bronx left one man dead, a 17-year-old girl critically injured, and several others wounded. Officers arriving just before 7:30 p.m. found a 32-year-old man shot in the chest and a 17-year-old girl shot in the face; both were taken to Jacobi Hospital and the man was later pronounced dead. Three additional victims were privately transported to local hospitals, including two listed in stable condition and one treated at Montefiore. Four people were taken into custody and the investigation remains active. The deceased man’s name is being withheld pending family notification. Days earlier, a separate Brooklyn shooting left three dead and twelve injured.

Just before 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call about multiple people shot and arrived to find a 32-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest and a 17-year-old girl shot in the face.
Both victims were rushed to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where the man was later pronounced dead. The teen remains in critical condition. As the scene unfolded, police were informed that three more gunshot victims had been transported to local hospitals by private means. A 30-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, both suffering gunshot wounds to the back, were taken to Jacobi Hospital and listed in stable condition.
