Amtrak service into and out of New York City is disrupted for a second day
Briefly

Rail service in the Northeast was disrupted for a second day on Friday, with Amtrak trains into and out of New York City delayed or canceled and service on the commuter line NJ Transit suspended entirely.
Amtrak blamed the disruptions on 'a disabled commuter train' at New York's Penn Station and mentioned working with NJT to investigate the cause.
NJ Transit indicated that its service suspension was due to 'AMTRAK overhead wire issues in Penn Station New York,' highlighting the shared track challenges.
The disruptions followed a previous day's suspension between Philadelphia and New Haven, caused by a circuit breaker malfunction according to Amtrak.
