Adorable 'comfort dog' unleashed by Queens DA to help NYC witnesses and victims open up
Briefly

Kimi, a 2-year-old Labrador retriever mix, has been enlisted by the Queens District Attorney's Office to aid victims in overcoming the trauma of their experiences.
Jessica Reiss stated, 'We tell kids, 'You don't have to tell me your story, but why don't you tell Kimi?'' highlighting the rapport-building aspect that dogs provide.
Queens DA Melinda Katz described Kimi's role as crucial: 'It is extremely difficult to speak about traumatic events and service dogs like Kimi help vulnerable people feel more comfortable...'
Kimi has already assisted in soothing victims, including children, in three different cases since her work began in August.
