""did something bad""
Police responded to a 911 call reporting a man stabbed inside a Cary Avenue home in West Brighton, Staten Island just after 4:20 p.m. Officers discovered a 45-year-old New York City sanitation worker with multiple stab wounds to his head and neck; he was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s head had been severed and his body was found in a bathtub with a knife still in his neck. The 19-year-old son of the victim’s girlfriend was arrested at the scene. The teen has a long history of mental-health issues, told his younger sister he "did something bad," and the family has prior domestic incident reports. Neighbors and close friends gathered outside the taped-off home.
