2 men rob woman of $207K in jewelry, cash by impersonating NYCHA workers, police say

Two men who allegedly posed as NYCHA employees entered a Cypress Hills apartment in East New York at about 8:45 a.m. on Aug. 11 and robbed a 25-year-old woman at gunpoint. The robbers took approximately $7,000 in cash and roughly $200,000 in jewelry, including an Audemars Piguet watch. The suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction and the victim was not injured. One suspect was last seen wearing a green sweatshirt and green sweatpants; the other was last seen wearing a blue sweater. Robberies in the 75th Precinct were down 23% through Aug. 24 year to date, and citywide robberies dropped 11%.
