2 dead among 4 shot in 7-hour, broad-daylight stretch of violence in the Bronx: cops
Briefly

Four men were shot in the Bronx over a seven-hour span during daytime; two victims died and two suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The first victim, 32, was shot in the back outside an Anthony Avenue apartment and died at St. Barnabas Hospital. Surveillance footage shows a still-at-large suspect pacing in a lobby; he is described as about 50, dark complexion, medium build, wearing a black hoodie, black pants and blue sneakers. A separate midday shooting at NYCHA’s Sack Wern left a 34-year-old man dead; two male suspects fled on foot, each described by clothing and backpack. Two later shootings wounded men in West Farms and Belmont.
The motive for the deadly shooting is unclear. Surveillance footage released by the NYPD hours later captures the still-at-large suspect pacing around in the lobby with his hood pulled up over his head before vanishing from view. He is described as about 50 years old with a dark complexion and medium build, and was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and blue sneakers.
A 34-year-old man was shot once in the chest, and rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, where he too was pronounced dead, cops said. Two male suspects fled on foot, heading north on Croes Avenue. One was last seen wearing a black or gray hoodie, black pants, and black Jordan sneakers, police sources said. The second wore a gray hoodie, black pants and a gray and red backpack with a shark mouth graphic at the bottom.
