'Would be a tremendous honor': What J.J. McCarthy said of possibly following in Tom Brady's footsteps with Patriots, meeting Robert Kraft
Briefly

Michigan's J.J. McCarthy could possibly follow Tom Brady's footsteps as the quarterback could be the Patriots' first-round selection. If so, McCarthy believes it would be the ultimate privilege.
I'm always about playing for the guys that came before and the guys who built the foundation to where it is right now," McCarthy told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Going back to when Brady was playing and how he was doing it for Tedy Bruschi, Willie McGinest, Ty Law, and all those guys. Being able to pay that forward would be a tremendous honor," McCarthy said.
McCarthy described Kraft as 'the coolest, smoothest guy I've met in a long time,' adding that he knows the franchise is in 'good hands' with the Krafts in charge of the organization.
