Patriots reportedly received interest in Matthew Judon trade from multiple teams prior to deal with Falcons
Briefly

The Patriots made news Wednesday night with the decision to trade four-time Pro Bowler Matthew Judon to the Falcons for a 2025 third-round pick. This represents the end of a New England training camp subplot in which Judon sought - but was not given - a new contract that he felt was worthy of his value.
According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Atlanta wasn't the only potential trade partner. Per Fowler, the Bears and Texans had varying interest in the 32-year-old Judon, noting that there was a "healthy market" for the pass rusher.
With the deal, New England appears to be casting at least one eye toward the future. Having added a third rounder, the Patriots are currently set to have nine picks in 2025.
