The New England Patriots are adding to their linebacker and special teams groups. As was announced via the NFL transactions wire on Thursday, the team has claimed Christian Elliss after he was recently put on waivers by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Elliss, 24, originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent out of Idaho in 2021. He bounced between Minnesota, Philadelphia and San Francisco as a rookie before eventually returning to the Eagles later that same season. He went on appeared in a combined 22 regular season and playoff games for the club over the three years since.
