Joshua Dobbs establishing 'great dynamic' with Drake Maye in Patriots QB room
Briefly

Entering the 2025 season, quarterback Drake Maye remains the only holdover from the previous year's Patriots quarterback room. He is now joined by Joshua Dobbs, who previously met Maye at an NFLPA event. The two have developed a rapport during the Patriots' voluntary offseason program, with Maye showing Dobbs around New England. Dobbs, who has extensive experience with multiple teams, emphasizes the importance of having a supportive quarterback room and learned valuable lessons from fellow QB Jacoby Brissett.
"He can hit the crap out of it with his driver," Dobbs said Tuesday. "It's good to get a chance to meet each other outside of the football environment and put a face with a name, and start talking ball and get to know each other."
"I really hadn't played much football from a starting capacity and to be able to learn from him, like see how you approach every single week, reps in the offseason, how he engaged with his teammates, it was a really good, healthy quarterback group."
"That's why I've enjoyed at the stops that I feel have been the most productive for me is a healthy quarterback room. Whoever the guy is out there on Sunday, it's everyone's job in that room to make sure they're supported and ready to go."
