Drake Maye reacts to college coach Mack Brown getting fired at North Carolina
Briefly

"Coach Brown meant the world to me," the New England Patriots' starting quarterback said. "He's probably the main reason I went to North Carolina. Hall of Fame coach. He's done it, and he's such a player's coach. I saw the news and hate it for him. I love Coach and appreciate what he did for me, but I know he left it all out there and he's got no regrets."
Brown coached a total of 16 seasons at Chapel Hill, including three with Maye also on the team. In his two years as a starter, the eventual first-round draft pick led the school to a combined record of 17-9.
However, a lack of success against the ACC and the prospect of a fifth straight season without a bowl game win eventually doomed the 73-year-old.
