Camren Williams, previously the director of college scouting for the New England Patriots, has joined the Denver Broncos as co-director of player personnel. Williams has spent the last decade with the Patriots, starting as a scouting assistant and progressing through the ranks to director in 2022. His background includes a successful college career at Ohio State, where he was part of the national championship team. This change follows the Patriots' recent appointment of A.J. Highsmith as director of pro scouting.
Broncos have hired Cam Williams as Co-Director of Player Personnel, per sources. Williams interviewed last week with the Broncos. Williams previously was the Patriots Director of College Scouting and spent the last decade in New England before taking a promotion with the Broncos.
Williams, a former Ohio State linebacker and national champion whose Buckeyes career spanned 50 games, had been hired by the Patriots in 2016.
After setting out as a scouting assistant, he went on to spend three campaigns as an area scout and one campaign as a national scout.
His transition to the Broncos comes after nine seasons in Foxborough, where he was promoted to director of college scouting in 2022.
