The Washington Capitals have acquired goaltender Logan Thompson from the Vegas Golden Knights for a third-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft (originally owned by the New York Islanders) and the Capitals' third-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.
Thompson appeared in 46 games for Vegas last season, posting a 25-14-5 record with a 2.70 goals-against average, a .908 save percentage, and one shutout.
The third-round pick from New York was acquired by the Capitals when they dealt Joel Edmundson to the Toronto Maple Leafs at the 2024 trade deadline.
