Eetu Makiniemi, a 25-year-old goaltender, has signed a professional tryout agreement with the Flyers as they seek to bolster their training camp roster.
During the last season, Makiniemi posted an 8-8-0 record and a .900 save percentage with the San Jose Barracuda, showcasing his potential as a competitive candidate.
Makiniemi's addition provides the Flyers with more depth and competition in goal, specifically for the AHL roles with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
Having previously played in the NHL, this PTO offers Makiniemi a chance to prove himself and possibly secure a contract with Philadelphia.
