Marc-Andre Fleury signed a professional tryout with the Pittsburgh Penguins and will play in a preseason exhibition on September 27. He will practice with the team on Friday, September 26 at 12:00 PM and then suit up against the Columbus Blue Jackets at PPG Paints Arena. Fleury was a first-round selection by the Penguins in the 2003 NHL Draft, spent 13 seasons with the club, and won three Stanley Cups. He holds nearly every major Penguins goaltending record such as games played (691) and wins (375). Fleury retired at the end of 2024–25 and the tryout lets him formally close his career in Pittsburgh. The Penguins are rebuilding and may move key veterans.
