JT Miller injury update: Out week to week, not expected to miss Olympics - Blue Seat Blogs
"Per Frank Seravalli, the JT Miller injury is not as serious as once feared. Miller will be out week to week, but is not expected to miss the Olympics in February. Miller did not travel with the Rangers to Nashville for tonight's game, and it's expected the Rangers will place him on IR and recall another body when they are able. Miller joins Adam Fox as another key player that is out for weeks for the Rangers."
"With Miller out, it's expected both Brennan Othmann and Gabe Perreault will move up the lineup. Perhaps expected is the wrong word. Hope, perhaps? We are hopeful both kids will move up in the lineup and stick there. Perreault moved up to the top-six in the middle of the Rangers comeback yesterday, while Othmann played just five minutes. We shall see."
JT Miller's injury is week-to-week and is not expected to prevent Olympic participation in February. Miller did not travel with the Rangers to Nashville and will likely be placed on injured reserve while the team recalls another player. Miller joins Adam Fox as a key Ranger who will be sidelined for weeks. Brennan Othmann and Gabe Perreault are expected to move up in the lineup; Perreault moved into the top six during a recent comeback while Othmann logged only five minutes. The Rangers hope both young players will stick in expanded roles.
