Joseph Woll on returning from his personal leave of absence: "I've really been blown away by how much support I've received"
"I have a few thank yous I want to make sure I say, mainly to the Leafs organization, starting with Brad and working all the way down, for all of the support they've given me and my family for the last little bit. I have really been blown away by how much support I've received, and with that, a big thank you to my teammates as well. I have expressed that to them, for all of the support they've given."
"As we move forward now, all I am going to say is that I am disappointed to have missed time, and I am very happy to be back. I'd really like all of my focus to be on my job to do here. I don't want to create any distractions for myself or for the team. There is enough here to focus on. All I ask is that you guys respect that."
Joseph Woll thanked the Leafs organization, starting with Brad, for supporting him and his family during his leave of absence. He expressed gratitude to teammates for their support and to the media for granting his request for privacy. Woll said he was disappointed to have missed time but very happy to be back and wants to dedicate his full focus to his role without creating distractions for the team. He asked for respect for his privacy and said he will initiate any future conversations about the leave if he deems them beneficial. Woll described being back in the Toronto environment as nice and noted ongoing relationship-building with new teammates.
