Alex Stalock, who spent a season with the Edmonton Oilers but never played a game, has announced his retirement at 37 and will become an NHL broadcaster.
After being claimed by the Oilers in March 2021, Stalock played in five AHL games with the Bakersfield Condors before being traded back to the Sharks.
Stalock, drafted in the fourth round of the 2005 NHL draft, had a career spanning 179 NHL games with the Sharks, Wild, and Blackhawks before retiring.
Joining the Sharks audio network, Stalock will work alongside Dan Rusanowsky and former Oilers commentator Drew Remenda for various NHL broadcasts.
