"The Steelers claimed Thielen off waivers on Dec. 2 after the Vikings waived him to allow him to find a bigger role in the final few weeks of his career. He had 11 receptions for 117 yards in five games (three starts) for the Steelers. He had two catches for 25 yards Monday night in the Steelers' 30-6 wild-card playoff loss to the Houston Texans."

The Pittsburgh Steelers claimed him off waivers Dec. 2; he recorded 11 receptions for 117 yards in five games (three starts) and had two catches for 25 yards in the Steelers' 30-6 wild-card playoff loss to the Houston Texans. Born in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, Thielen played at Minnesota State University, Mankato, and spent his first nine professional seasons with the Vikings. He amassed 542 receptions with Minnesota and 704 career catches for 8,497 yards, earned Pro Bowl selections in 2017 and 2018, and posted 1,000-yard seasons in 2017, 2018, and 2023.
