Sources: Raiders sit Crosby with top pick at stake
"Yeah, I don't give a s--- about the pick. I don't play for that."
"My job is to be the best defensive end in the world, and that's what I focus on every day, and being a great leader and being an influence,"
"That's [the front office's] job. But that's got nothing to do with me."
Maxx Crosby has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the New York Giants because of a nagging knee injury that limited his practice participation. He was listed as a non-participant on the Raiders' Wednesday and Thursday injury reports after playing through the issue since October. Crosby produced 10 sacks and 45 tackles (a career-best 28 for loss) in 15 games and earned his fifth straight Pro Bowl nod. Tight end Brock Bowers and safety Jeremy Chinn were placed on injured reserve, leaving Crosby the third starter unavailable for Week 17 as the loser risks relinquishing control of the No. 1 pick.
