Several key Patriots players still limited in latest injury report
""I think that, somehow, the guys progress after the game, so just kind of see where they are," Mike Vrabel said of the Patriots' injury situation ahead of Tuesday's practice. "We'll have a couple guys do a little bit more than maybe everybody else does just to try to be able to evaluate, see what we have for the game. "Then some of the guys that we didn't have available, we'll have to see something from them to make a quick decision. Again, this is the all-hands-on-deck week ... so we'll see where some of that shakes out.""
""Tight end Austin Hooper (concussion) and rookie defensive lineman Joshua Farmer (ankle) did not take part in Tuesday's practice, while wide receiver Kayshon Boutte (hamstring), running backs Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) and Terrell Jennings (knee), and linebackers Christian Elliss (hip) and Jack Gibbens (hamstring) were all limited participants.""
""Boutte - who missed Sunday's win over Tampa with that hamstring ailment - could be given more time to rest and recuperate, especially given that Drake Maye and the Patriots were still able to generate explosive plays down the field with rookie Kyle Williams. But, New England's running-back group and linebacker corps is looking very thin in this latest injury report. TreVeyon Henderson would be New England's top running back on Thursday if both Stevenson and Jennings are sidelined, although Henderson is also dealing with a knee injury of his own.""
The Patriots completed a lone practice two days before a primetime game and released an injury report showing multiple limited or nonparticipants. Austin Hooper (concussion) and Joshua Farmer (ankle) did not practice. Kayshon Boutte (hamstring), Rhamondre Stevenson (toe), Terrell Jennings (knee), Christian Elliss (hip) and Jack Gibbens (hamstring) were limited. The team plans to evaluate players with targeted reps and quick decisions to determine game availability. Boutte may receive extra rest while rookie Kyle Williams continues to provide downfield explosive plays. Running-back and linebacker depth could be thin if limited players are unavailable.
