"Not great for our captain and leader,"
"He's so valuable for so many reasons with what he can do, with who he is as a human, with the way that he elevates and leads. ... We'll have to figure out what is the next best thing for us to be able to do."
"I think it would be insincere to think that you're going to ask somebody to do the things that he's capable of. It's what makes him so special. But I do have a lot of confidence in the other guys."
Quentin Lake suffered an elbow injury in the Rams' 21-19 win over the Seahawks and will be sidelined for an undetermined amount of time. MRI results and a consultation with team physician Dr. Neal ElAttrache will determine the severity, whether surgery is required, or if placement on injured reserve is necessary. Lake served as a team captain and played every defensive snap in 2024 and this season until the injury. Josh Wallace filled the nickel spot on Sunday, Kamren Kinchens saw increased snaps, and Cobie Durant and Roger McCreary are candidates to play inside. Kam Curl provides veteran experience, but replacing Lake’s leadership will be difficult. The Rams enter the upcoming home game versus Tampa Bay with an 8-2 record and a five-game winning streak.
