"Definitely the time off has helped a little bit. I'm always just going to take it one step at a time, do my rehab and do everything I need to do to make sure it feels great going into practice and going into the game ... on Sunday."
"It's definitely gradually increasing by the day. So, some days more than others. But he's in a great spot. I know he's really confident. We'll see how today plays out. I'm not entirely sure how many throws or what percentage of throws. I can't really give you right now."
Sam Darnold's left oblique injury is improving and he reports feeling good after time off, with ongoing rehab to ensure readiness for practice and the game on Sunday. Coach Mike Macdonald considers Darnold in a great spot and notes daily progress with gradual increases in work. Darnold played through the oblique in both playoff games and threw three touchdown passes in the NFC Championship Game on Jan. 25. The Seahawks have listed Darnold as a limited participant on every injury report since Jan. 15. The team arrived in the Bay Area Sunday and will practice at San Jose State University this week.
