Ravens' Henry dares opponents to continue calling Hopkins 'washed' - ESPN
""Hopefully, they keep calling him 'washed' because that [s---] has been working," Henry said with a smile after Friday's practice. "We need it.""
""But he's showing otherwise," Jackson said. "The guy has huge hands to catch the ball - one hand, two fingers - it doesn't really matter.""
""I think he has done this his whole career," Henry said of Hopkins' ability to make plays at this stage of his career."
DeAndre Hopkins, 33, has produced a resurgent start with the Baltimore Ravens, scoring consecutive contested touchdowns of 29 and 23 yards. Derrick Henry welcomed opponents' criticism calling Hopkins 'washed' and said the taunts have motivated the team. Lamar Jackson praised Hopkins' hands and one-handed catching ability. Hopkins made his fourth one-handed touchdown catch since 2017 in the season opener, tied for the NFL lead over that span. Hopkins signed a one-year, $5 million deal after a down 2024 with the Titans and Chiefs, when he posted career lows in yards per game and yards per catch.
