Rams' offseason moves driven by going all in on Stafford
"make the most of the time we have"
"The type of season he had, the type of season that he's still showing that he can have, there are only so many of those left."
"Obviously with just the contract situation in general of a lot of those guys, that's a spot that we will definitely look closely into and figure out how we consistently figure what's the best things for our football team,"
"There was a lot of good stuff that they did and then a lot of things that we can all collectively improve upon."
Matthew Stafford won NFL MVP and will return to the Los Angeles Rams for the 2026 season. The team intends to make the most of Stafford's remaining elite seasons while balancing roster construction around his play. The Rams finished 12-5 and lost the NFC Championship Game to the Seattle Seahawks. Cornerback depth is the primary offseason concern, with Cobie Durant, Ahkello Witherspoon, Roger McCreary and Derion Kendrick set to become free agents. Darious Williams carries one season left with an $8.66 million cap hit and no guaranteed salary. The front office plans to stabilize and address the position group in the coming weeks and months.
