Quinn left Daniels in too long: 'Missed it ... on me'
"Washington Commanders coach Dan Quinn on Monday said the decision to have quarterback Jayden Daniels on the field with the game out of reach in the fourth quarter was "100% on me." "I get that. I've been thinking about it nonstop, too, and, man, I missed it," Quinn said. "That is 100% on me." Quinn said Daniels is out indefinitely after suffering a dislocated left elbow with 7:39 remaining in a 38-14 loss to the Seattle Seahawks."
"Marcus Mariota, who entered the game after the injury, will start in place of Daniels when the Commanders host the Detroit Lions next Sunday. Washington also lost cornerback Marshon Lattimore, who suffered a torn ACL, and wide receiver Luke McCaffrey, who suffered a broken collarbone on the opening kickoff Sunday night. They are the latest blows in a season gone awry for Washington (3-6)."
