"It's been very challenging to be out for so long. But I'm focused on the here and now. I'm not really too worried about the injury. I'm not going to answer any questions on that, we're just focused on the Steelers."
"It's been hard. It's been tough. But it's part of football. Everything in football is tough. It's going to test you physically. It's going to test you mentally. It's just a part of it."
Christian Gonzalez has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game against the Steelers because of a hamstring injury, postponing his season debut. Gonzalez returned to practice this week after being sidelined since July 28, but the team held him limited and continued evaluating his progress. Head coach Mike Vrabel described his practice work as limited and said the team would assess him closer to game time before ultimately ruling him out. Gonzalez called the recovery challenging, said he is focused on the matchup, and previously earned second-team All-Pro honors with two interceptions and 46 receptions allowed on 84 targets last season.
