Police said the shooting occurred on November 16, 2025, at approximately 2:06 A.M. in front of 156 West 38 Street when an unidentified individual discharged a firearm, striking a 29-year-old male in the abdomen. The suspect fled eastbound on West 38 Street. A friend said Boyd is in good condition and recovering. Mayor Eric Adams prayed for Boyd and called for continued efforts to end gun violence. The Jets acknowledged the situation and declined further comment.
