"Jets cornerback Kris Boyd was in critical but stable condition late Sunday after being wounded in an early morning shooting in midtown Manhattan, the NYPD said. The Jets said in a statement Sunday that they were "aware of the situation involving Kris Boyd and will have no further comment at this time." The shooting took place in front of 156 W. 38th St., where Sei Less, an Asian fusion restaurant is listed as the occupant."
"Early Monday, the NYPD released a description of a suspect in the shooting, describing him as man wearing a black cap, black sweatshirt, black pants, multicolored sneakers, and carrying a black bookbag. The investigation is ongoing, according to the NYPD. By 2:30 p.m. Sunday, there was no obvious hint of the shooting that occurred outside the restaurant more than 12 hours earlier. Flashes of red, white and blue bounced off the restaurant's glass exterior from the NYPD sport utility vehicle parked across the street."
Kris Boyd, a Jets cornerback, was wounded in an early morning shooting in midtown Manhattan and was in critical but stable condition after being transported to NYC Health + Hospitals. The shooting occurred in front of 156 W. 38th St., home to the Sei Less restaurant. Police responded to a 911 call at 2:09 a.m. and found a man with an abdominal gunshot wound. The Jets acknowledged awareness and declined further comment. The NYPD released a suspect description and said the investigation is ongoing. Boyd signed a one-year contract with the Jets and was on season-ending injured reserve after a training-camp shoulder injury.
