Notre Dame AD: ACC caused 'permanent damage'
""We were mystified by the actions of the conference to attack their biggest, really, partner in football and a member of their conference in 24 of our other sports," Bevacqua told Patrick. "... They have certainly done permanent damage to the relationship between the conference and Notre Dame.""

"ACC Network also replayed the Miami-Notre Dame game more than a dozen times Thursday and Friday, heading into championship weekend, despite Miami not participating in the league's title game. Duke, which won the ACC but had five regular-season losses, did not make the CFP."
Notre Dame's athletic department criticized the ACC for advocating Miami over Notre Dame for College Football Playoff inclusion, saying the conference caused "permanent damage" to the relationship. The ACC posted a side-by-side comparison on X and replayed the Miami-Notre Dame game repeatedly ahead of championship weekend despite Miami not playing in the ACC title game. Miami beat Notre Dame 27-24 and finished 10-2, earning the No. 10 CFP seed to face No. 7 Texas A&M. Notre Dame declined a bowl invitation and ended its season rather than accept the ACC tie-in at the Pop-Tarts Bowl.
