Nik Bonitto claimed the Broncos 'were definitely the better team' after loss to Patriots
"It's sickening to think that all we fought through this year, all the games we had to win, knowing we were definitely the better team, but it just didn't work out that way today."
"Yeah, we know."
"Didn't make enough plays to win the game, really, they made more plays than we did. They found a way."
The Patriots beat the Broncos 10-7 in the AFC Championship game in Denver amid a snowstorm. Denver entered the postseason as the AFC's No. 1 seed. Broncos linebacker Nik Bonitto described the outcome as sickening and asserted that Denver was definitely the better team even though the result did not go their way. Bonitto also replied "Yeah, we know" when asked if that belief made the loss hurt most. He summarized the loss as a failure to make enough plays while New England made more plays and found a way to win. Bonitto, 26, recorded 14 sacks in 2025 and played 30 snaps without appearing in the box score.
