"I think if I worry about my job security, I won't be doing my job -- and I think that inherently is against all things that I believe in."
"I've never felt entitled to this position and it's very important for me to spend all my waking hours worrying about exactly how to do my job. I won't spend one moment thinking about all the things that, whatever people want me to think about. [I'm] thinking about this team and the Buffalo Bills here, after I get done with this podium."
"FIRE [Dolphins general manager Chris] GRIER. FIRE MCDANIEL."
Mike McDaniel isn't worried about his job security despite the Miami Dolphins' 0-2 start to the season. The Dolphins lost their home opener 33-27 to the New England Patriots and turned the ball over on the final two drives, eliminating late comeback chances. Fans booed the offense and many left the stadium before the final whistle. Some fans organized a banner flown over Hard Rock Stadium reading "FIRE [Dolphins general manager Chris] GRIER. FIRE MCDANIEL." McDaniel emphasized he does not feel entitled to his position and will focus on preparing the team for the Buffalo Bills.
