Lamb points to drops: 'Full accountability' for loss
"Man, that's terrible,"
"Honestly, I feel like I can't point no finger at anybody else."
"It wasn't just those plays,"
"There's throws out there that I want back. But it's Game 1, and he's a guy that makes those plays. He's going to make those plays. I'm not going to get down on him. I'm not going to lose confidence by any means. And he will make those plays."
CeeDee Lamb had three drops in the Cowboys' 24-20 season-opening loss to the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. His first drop in the second quarter stopped a potential touchdown drive and forced Dallas to settle for a Brandon Aubrey field goal. Lamb had two critical drops in the fourth quarter, including a third with 2:40 remaining that prevented a go-ahead opportunity inside Philadelphia's 20-yard line. Dak Prescott targeted Lamb 13 times, publicly supported him and said he would not lose confidence after Game 1. The three-drop performance was Lamb's first such game since Week 13 last season.
