"It is hard to find great players in the NFL, and A.J. is a great player,"
"I think from my perspective, that's what we're going out and looking for when we go out here in free agency, in the draft, just trying to find great players who love football, and he's that guy."
A.J. Brown is considered a great, rare NFL talent and remains a core player for the Eagles. The team plans to pursue similarly elite players in free agency and the draft rather than move Brown. Brown finished 2025 with 78 catches for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns, marking his fourth 1,000-yard season in Philadelphia. Brown showed frustration at times this season through cryptic social posts and reduced media availability after promising to stop public complaints. In the playoff loss to the 49ers he had three catches for 25 yards with two drops. Brown is a three-time Pro Bowler and holds two of the franchise's highest single-season receiving totals.
