Most official Super Bowl LX events were held in San Francisco rather than in San Jose or Santa Clara. Fan attractions such as the Super Bowl Experience, NFL Honors, Taste of the NFL and an innovation summit took place in San Francisco. Only Super Bowl Opening Night occurred in San Jose and the game itself is in Santa Clara. The Bay Area Host Committee emphasized San Francisco landmarks, hotel capacity and the Moscone Center in its bid. The NFL prioritized infrastructure, convention space and hotel rooms when selecting event locations. Cities must work with and around the NFL's requirements, and many event decisions are made early by the league, limiting local influence.
