Five-time Pro Bowl guard Scherff retires from NFL
""Sometimes I would tell my wife that she has to pinch me, because I'm playing a kid's game, and being able to do it as a job is pretty amazing.""
""Now, having kids and being able to see them after games is absolutely wonderful. So I would say it's a dream come true. And I will be forever grateful to have had that chance.""
Brandon Scherff has officially retired from the NFL after a 10-season career, during which he became a five-time Pro Bowl selection. He expressed his joy and gratitude for the opportunity to play professionally, describing it as a dream come true. Scherff played the majority of his career with the Washington franchise before spending the last three seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Despite facing injuries, he maintained a strong record, starting every game throughout his time in Jacksonville and appearing in 144 games overall. He will be inducted into the Iowa Hall of Fame later this month.
