First five candidates in Dolphins' GM search surface
"The Miami Dolphins were expected to move quickly in finding candidates to interview for their open general manager role upon the end of the 2025 season, and the first four names have already surfaced Monday morning. The Dolphins requested interviews with Green Bay Packers vice president of player personnel Jon-Eric Sullivan, Philadelphia Eagles assistant GM Alec Halaby, San Francisco 49ers director of scouting and football operations Josh Williams, 49ers vice president of player personnel Tariq Ahmad and Los Angeles Rams assistant GM John McKay,"
"Sullivan has held that role in Green Bay since 2022. From 2018 through 2021, he was co-director of player personnel. Before these elevated roles, he scouted the Southeast and Central Plains regions over eight years as a scout for the Packers. Halaby has been in his position in Philadelphia under Eagles GM Howie Roseman since 2022. He was vice president of football operations and strategy before that since 2016 and special assistant to the GM from 2012 to 2015."
The Miami Dolphins requested interviews with five NFL executives for their open general manager position, including Jon-Eric Sullivan, Alec Halaby, Josh Williams, Tariq Ahmad and John McKay. The requests came as the team prepares to hire after the 2025 season and followed the firing of the previous GM on Oct. 31. The search team includes owner Steve Ross and consultant Troy Aikman. The club appears to prioritize candidates with extensive scouting and personnel evaluation experience. The candidates’ resumes show progression from area scouting to senior personnel roles, reflecting emphasis on scouting depth and front-office development.
