Falcons vs. Dolphins Week 8 Injury Report: Michael Penix Jr. questionable for Sunday
"The Falcons gave us a lot of updates following Friday's practice. We now know, which was kind of expected if you've been following along all week, that EDGE Jalon Walker, linebacker Divine Deablo, and corner Billy Bowman Jr. will all be sidelined this week. The Falcons missing all three, especially with Deablo playing great this year, is a blow to the Falcons defense. Additionally, offensive tackle Storm Norton, who was able to practice fully, has been ruled out as he returns from a foot injury."
"Another thing to monitor is that quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who was able to practice on a limited basis this week, has been listed as questionable to play on Sunday due to his knee injury he sustained in Week 7 against the San Francisco 49ers. If Penix is unable to go, Kirk Cousins will get the start against the Dolphins."
Several Falcons players were ruled out or listed questionable following Friday practice. EDGE Jalon Walker, linebacker Divine Deablo, and corner Billy Bowman Jr. are all sidelined for the upcoming game. Offensive tackle Storm Norton, despite practicing fully earlier, has been ruled out while returning from a foot injury. Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. practiced on a limited basis and is listed as questionable with a knee injury from Week 7; Kirk Cousins would start if Penix cannot play. The Dolphins had not released a Friday injury report; Jaylen Waddle is noted with hamstring issues and was given rest.
