Dolphins' Zach Wilson available through illness; center Aaron Brewer active
"EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - The Miami Dolphins have backup quarterback Zach Wilson available for Sunday's game against the New York Jets after he surfaced on the team's injury report Saturday night with an illness. Wilson was not listed among inactive players announced 90 minutes prior to the 1 p.m. kickoff at MetLife Stadium. The Dolphins-Jets game also marks a return for Wilson to where he played his first three NFL seasons with the Jets as the No. 2 pick of the 2021 draft."
"Also active for the Dolphins after they were questionable Friday are center Aaron Brewer (ankle/neck/knee), safety Ifeatu Melifonwu (thumb/groins) and defensive back Elijah Campbell (ankle). Brewer, who hasn't missed a start in his two seasons with the Dolphins, was expected to play based on coach Mike McDaniel's assessment ahead of Friday drills. Melifonwu was a surprise with a questionable designation after practicing in full all week. Campbell popped up on the Thursday injury report with the ankle ailment and then missed Friday's practice."
