"I'm happy with the career that I've had. I love playing football. I love it, but it takes a lot. It takes a lot on you mentally, it takes a lot on you physically. I'm at the point now where I need to have a conversation with mom, family, everybody. Wherever my mind is at the time, the decision will be made, but I know right now, I haven't had time to live in the moment."
"I immediately started laughing because I've been able to play this game for 10 years, really my entire life, and I've been blessed with great talents and great gifts. The amount of support I get from my family, it's amazing. So I really wasn't even thinking about the injury. I was thinking about the great times I've had playing this game."
Tyreek Hill has not yet decided whether to continue his NFL career after suffering significant damage to his left knee, including a torn ACL, and undergoing surgery a couple of weeks ago. The injury occurred Sept. 29 when he made a catch and planted his left foot near the Jets' sideline; his knee twisted as he was pulled down. The Dolphins placed him on season-ending injured reserve on Oct. 1. Hill said the decision will depend on how he feels and his mindset, and that he plans to talk with his mother and family before deciding. He described seeing his leg crooked, feeling grateful for his career, and appreciating family support.
