Denver's Box Nix met with Drew Brees this offseason to 'improve' his game
Briefly

The Denver Broncos achieved a 10-7 record in 2025, marking their best finish since 2015 and breaking an eight-year playoff drought. Rookie quarterback Bo Nix started all 17 games in 2024, becoming the first Broncos rookie QB to start Week 1 since John Elway in 1983. After placing third in Offensive Rookie of the Year voting, Nix aimed to improve his game. He sought mentorship from Drew Brees, spending four to five days learning from the Super Bowl champion in San Diego under the guidance of head coach Sean Payton, who utilizes a similar offensive system to that of New Orleans.
After finishing third in Offensive Rookie of the Year voting, Nix is determined to get better. Broncos head coach Sean Payton said Nix requested to meet with his former MVP in New Orleans, Drew Brees.
Sean Payton runs the same offensive system in Denver that he ran in New Orleans. That allows Drew Brees to use his years of experience to teach Nix whatever he can in a short amount of time.
