"But it was an unremarkable showing by the Cowboys in the first two quarters. They were stopped on the opening possession on fourth down, CeeDee Lamb had his fifth drop in two games vs. the Eagles, KaVontae Turpin fumbled on a run in which he tripped and Prescott was intercepted in the end zone by Reed Blankenship, forcing a pass to Lamb."
Dak Prescott moved past Tony Romo to become the Dallas Cowboys' career passing yards leader with a 9-yard completion to George Pickens in the third quarter. Prescott had been one yard shy after a 1-yard touchdown to Pickens with 21 seconds left in the first half. The Cowboys struggled early, including a failed fourth-down opening possession, multiple drops by CeeDee Lamb, a KaVontae Turpin fumble after tripping, and an end-zone interception by Reed Blankenship. Prescott this season became the franchise leader in completions (3,033 entering Sunday), ranks second in career attempts behind Troy Aikman (4,715), and ranks second to Tony Romo (247) in touchdown passes. Prescott also became the third Cowboys quarterback with at least 80 wins, behind Aikman (94) and Roger Staubach (85).
