"The Washington Commanders were fortunate with the injury gods throughout their dream 2024 campaign, and thus far in 2025, they have continued to avoid any major concerns. Quarterback Jayden Daniels landed on the report with a wrist issue this week, but has been cleared for Thursday Night Football as expected. All in all, the Commanders should expect a fully healthy offense and defense for their primetime Week 2 showdown on the road against the Green Bay Packers."
"For many years, while the offense struggled to put up points, he was one of Washington's most reliable contributors. Though now 35 years old and not getting any younger, his job has thankfully been made a lot easier due to the emergence of Daniels and a high-powered attack that doesn't require his services all that often. Last season, there were multiple games in which he wasn't forced to punt at all."
The Commanders enter Week 2 largely healthy after avoiding major injuries through 2024 and into 2025. Jayden Daniels appeared on the injury report with a wrist issue but has been cleared to play Thursday Night Football. Punter Tress Way is listed as questionable with a back injury after being shaken up when Abdul Carter partially blocked a kick and collided with his legs in mid-air. Mitch Wishnowsky is on the practice squad as an insurance option. Way is a long-tenured veteran, two-time Pro Bowler and was a second-team All-Pro in 2019.
