Shilo Sanders was ejected from the Buccaneers' third preseason game against the Buffalo Bills for an unnecessary roughness call after swinging at tight end Zach Davidson. The incident followed heavy pushing and shoving and prompted teammate John Bullock to try to calm Sanders while coach Todd Bowles showed disappointment and argued Davidson should have been penalized. Sanders is an undrafted free agent from Colorado competing for the fourth safety spot behind Antoine Winfield Jr., Tykee Smith and Christian Izien. He also drew a defensive pass interference penalty earlier in the game. Sanders was previously ejected in 2023 for a targeting penalty at Colorado.
