Bets pour in on Hunter to go No. 1 in NFL draft
Briefly

Travis Hunter's chances of being the first pick in the NFL draft saw a significant rise following a comment from Titans executive Chad Brinker about his generational talent status. Initially listed at 15-1, Hunter's odds shifted to +150, making him the second favorite after Miami quarterback Cam Ward. The betting market reacted strongly, with 62% of recent bets favoring Hunter, indicating significant confidence from bettors despite the volatility traditionally associated with draft odds.
"We won't pass on a generational talent with the first pick in the NFL draft," Brinker told reporters on Wednesday. "We won't do that."
"We have seen significant betting on Hunter since the comments made yesterday by Titans executives," Christian Cipollini, trading manager for BetMGM, said in a press release.
Approximately 62% of the bets placed on the No. 1 pick odds since Wednesday morning have been on Hunter, more than any other player.
The betting market on the NFL draft is notoriously volatile, and sportsbooks typically keep wagering limits low, especially early in the year.
