Each spring presents the Senior Bowl, Shrine Bowl, the NFL combine and individual pro days as primary evaluation opportunities ahead of the draft. Teams can bring as many as 30 prospects in for facility visits. At the combine teams interview players, run workouts and exchange medical information. Pro days and top-30 visits allow interaction with prospects who skipped or were not invited to the combine. Postseason evaluation work typically affirms prior assessments. Coaches emphasize on-field football traits and look for prospects who demonstrate passion and attention to detail that support career and organizational goals.
