Caitlin Clark is set to return to the Indiana Fever for a game against the Golden State Valkyries following a five-game absence due to a left groin injury. Clark participated in a practice session that included a 5-on-5 scrimmage, marking her first game-like activity since her injury. The previous encounter between the Fever and Valkyries saw Clark restricted to 11 points. The Valkyries are currently at a record of 9-9 but have lost their last two matches and struggled on their four-game trip.
Barring any setbacks, Clark will be available to play Wednesday, and it's nice to get back out there and get back into the flow of playing with my teammates again.
The Valkyries will face Clark for the second time in two weeks, having previously held her to 11 points in a win on June 19.
The Valkyries currently stand at 9-9 but have lost their last two games, struggling to win outside of California.
Clark's participation in practice marks her first time in a 5-on-5 scrimmage since her injury on June 26.
