Sources: Ex-Celts center Kornet headed to Spurs
Briefly

Luke Kornet has secured a four-year, $41 million contract with the San Antonio Spurs, enhancing the team's frontcourt options. The 30-year-old had a notable season with the Celtics, averaging six points, 5.3 rebounds, and one block per game. Kornet’s strong defensive skills, highlighted by his unique "Kornet Kontest" technique, contributed significantly to Boston’s performance, where they had a remarkable net rating with him on the court. His shift toward a primary rim-runner role has also resulted in impressive field goal percentages in recent seasons.
The deal, negotiated by agent Max Wiepking of Gersh Sports, provides essential frontcourt depth for the Spurs at the center position.
Kornet boasted the best on-court net rating on the Celtics last season; they outscored opponents by 14.9 points per 100 possessions with him on the floor.
