Nets expect Cam Thomas MRI update later this week
"We'll let you know when that happens,"
"No one wants to be injured and standing off to the side, but I'm not really worried about it. I'll be back in no time. I'm not really upset or concerned, it's just unfortunate."
"We don't have another Cam Thomas. The constant has to be we have to play hard with purpose. We have to look like a competitive team out there, a selfless team and a connected team. If that happens, we'll"
An MRI is scheduled later this week to establish a revised return timeline for Cam Thomas. Thomas has missed 12 consecutive games after injuring his left hamstring in Brooklyn's Nov. 5 win over the Indiana Pacers. The team initially projected a three- to four-week absence. Thomas missed 57 games last season because of recurring hamstring issues and accepted a one-year, $6 million qualifying offer rather than a long-term extension. In eight appearances this season he averaged 21.4 points, 1.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting 40.2% from the field, 35.6% from three and 87.5% from the line. His absence has amplified Brooklyn's offensive struggles and left the roster without another natural bucket-getter, increasing the need for hard, purposeful, selfless and connected team play.
