NBA releases groups for this season's NBA Cup

The NBA announced that defending champion Milwaukee will play group-stage games in the NBA Cup tournament against New York, Chicago, Charlotte, and Miami. The tournament starts on Oct. 31 and group play concludes by Nov. 28. Quarterfinals are scheduled for Dec. 9 and Dec. 10, with semifinals on Dec. 13 in Las Vegas. The championship game, which does not affect regular season statistics, will take place on Dec. 16 in Las Vegas. Teams will have two home and two away games in group play, ensuring the full 82-game regular season is maintained.
